Josh Yoffe

Josh Yoffe was in 8th grade when he signed on to be a Rebel. He progressed through to the Teen Intensive Program, and graduated from high school in 2005. Josh returned to direct in the summers of 2006 and 2007.

When asked what his favorite roles were that he played during his stint with Rebel, Josh stated that he likes to imagine that he is at a cocktail party where each character he has ever played is gathered, and wonder who would socialize with whom, and who would be friends. "It's a fun little game," he says, "but I guess if I were to pick favorites I think I loved playing Petruchio from 'Taming of the Shrew.' He was just very different from myself, and SO cocky. I did a lot of character work and just had so much fun!"

Life lessons learned during the Rebel years are still very much a part of Josh today. "I always say that the place where I did most of my growing up was at Shakespeare camp," Josh says. "You learn so much about yourself. The whole company is such a supporter of thinking outside the box and pushing limits. It is why we are called the REBEL Shakespeare Company. But you definitely learn something new every month you do the program. You learn something about yourself with each new thing that you do.

"I am absolutely who I am today because of the Rebel Shakespeare Company."
